Broo is a sheepdog puppy with a star hanging from his collar (The Raccoons and the Lost Star goes into great detail over this).

Ownership

Originally, Broo, like Schaeffer, was owned by kids who lived in the Evergreen Forest. As the kids and their father were phased out by the end of the first season, starting with Rumours!, Broo's ownership seemed headed toward Bert and other raccoons, whom he seemed to favor.

In the other world seen in The Raccoons and the Lost Star, Broo is owned by Cedric Sneer and Sophia Tutu.
