Curtis Rance King, Jr. is an American singer. Also credited as Curtis King, he was mostly known as a former member of the super disco group Chic in the 1980's. As a backing vocalist, he worked for Madonna, Regina Richards, Meat Loaf, Billy Joel, David Bowie, and Celine Dion. He performed many songs for the Raccoons series. He has also performed the theme song 'Dreams Dreams' for the 1996 Sega Saturn game, 'NiGHTS into Dreams...' with Dana Calitri.
According to the show's composer Jon Stroll, Frank Floyd, the frontman of the Writers who'd replaced John Schneider on "Calling You" from the Let's Dance! album, was originally going to be the main male singer for the series, but backup singer Valerie Wilson suggested that they would use Curtis King Jr. instead, as indeed they did.
