Herman Zechariah Stroll (also known as Herman the Hermit or Herman the Hound) is a hound dog who owns and lives in Beaver Bite Swamp, who befriends Bert and Cedric. He also notably cannot read until Bert teaches him reading lessons. He shares the same surname as the show's composer, Jon Stroll. He is voiced by the late Marvin Goldhar.
